- Early voting will be held for 8 days and begin on Thursday, May 2, 2024 through Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 7 am until 8 pm for the Primary.
- Primary Election: Tuesday, May 14, 2024
- General Election: Tuesday, November 5, 2024

REGISTRATION
You can apply to be a registered voter at any time. You must register to vote at least 21 days before the next election. Registering to vote on the same day is being challenged
Your application must be postmarked by the voter registration deadline in order to vote in the next scheduled election. If you submit a voter registration application during the period that registration is closed, your application will be held at the local board of elections and processed when registration reopens.
Absentee Voting
To vote by absentee ballot you must first fill out and return an Absentee Ballot Application. You can download an application or pick one up from the Board of Elections.
How To Vote By Absentee Ballot
After you receive your ballot, vote and return it to the board of elections before or by 8 p.m. on election day. A ballot received by the county board of elections will be counted provided:

- It has been received prior to the closing of the polls on election day; or
- It was mailed from a location within the United States before election day, bearing a postmark verifying that fact, and the ballot is received from the postal service by 4 p.m. on the Wednesday following election day; or\
- It was mailed from a location outside the United States before election day, bearing a postmark verifying that fact, and the ballot is received from the postal service by 4 p.m. on the second Friday following election day. (not applicable following a Gubernatorial Primary)

April 28, 2020 – Special general election for voters in the 7th Congressional District – All vote by mail
To slow the spread of COVID-19, the special general election for the 7th Congressional District will be conducted by mail. This means that all voters in the 7th Congressional District will receive a ballot for this election and can return the voted ballot by mail.
If you live in the 7th Congressional District, look for a ballot in the mail in early April 2020. You can vote your ballot, sign the oath, and return your voted ballot by mail. You will not need a stamp to return your ballot – the envelope will already have postage on it. Make sure your ballot is postmarked on or before April 28, 2020.
If you already asked for an absentee ballot for this election, you may have already received it already. If you have, please follow the instructions you received, vote your ballot, and make sure your ballot is postmarked on or before April 28, 2020. If you have not received it yet, it will be coming soon.
If you would prefer to receive this ballot electronically, please call or email your local board of elections and ask that your ballot for the special general election for the 7th Congressional District be sent electronically. When the ballots are ready, we will send you an email with a link to your ballot. You must print your ballot and mail or return it to your local election office. If you do not see an email from the State Board of Elections, check your spam folder.
Based on actions taken at the March 25, 2020, meeting of the State Board of Elections, there will be no in person voting for this election.
