Baltimore City school Rankings

Where ever you live you want access to good schools. In Baltimore City, access to good schools has to lead to diversity and the need for alternative assessment. When it comes to best schools, Baltimore city ranks last. Even though the City nor the State rank or grade schools, three watchdog groups are on the job:

Some of the top-ranking schools are found in Baltimore City, according to greatschools.org. Also, review niche.com for school ratings.

When I reviewed schooldiggers.com, their website suggests that Baltimore County elementary classrooms have no more than 20 kids per teacher and that all top 10 schools improved on their test scores. Also, most students in the high 10 ranking schools do not need free lunch.

A reason for failing schools involves education redlining. It occurs when state funding formulae are not based on the total cost of educating each student. Schools become underfunded and under-resourced.
